Memory

Thursday, 23. April 2009

This song has been on the radio quite a lot around here and when I heard it I knew I just HAD to rewrite it. So here you go:

(Need more) Memory

To the tune of Memory by Fragma

That look on my face,
I’m sweating at night,
I’m counting the days
and the hours that go by.

You said it would work fine,
every word was a lie.
My system is too slow
and I want to cry.

I wanted to play
this great new game.
Now it doesn’t work
and you are to blame.

Now that you deceived me,
I have to upgrade,
cause I am afraid
I need more…

[CHORUS]
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.

I need more…
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.
[/CHORUS]

Oh yeah.

I ordered some online,
a few gigs of RAM,
they haven’t arrived yet,
you don’t give a damn.

I asked for your help but
you just laughed at me,
so I keep on waiting
for delivery.

Dear postman please come soon,
I’m begging you, please
I have to play this game
to meet my buddies.

They’re already teasing
the hell out of me
cause I am still using
a Pentium III…

[CHORUS]
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.

I need more…
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.
[/CHORUS]

Oh year.

[CHORUS]
I need more…
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.

I need more…
Memory, memory, memory,
for my programs to work now.
Memory, memory, memory,
’cause they all just give up now.
[/CHORUS]

Cyborg

Thursday, 23. April 2009

I’ve heard quite a few people complain about the song “Human” by The Killers – the melody seems to be OK, but the text is rubbish. “So,” I thought to myself, “I’ll rewrite it.” And here it is – my version of Human:

Cyborg

To the tune of Human by The Killers

I had an operation
cause my heart was going wrong.
It was fluttering, that’s not healthy
would have killed me before long.
So I had this operation
a pacemaker was put inside.

Close the wounds, hear the heart.
Science applied

[CHORUS]
Am I human or am I cyborg.
The battery’s fading, my hands are cold.
Checking on the net, wikipedia.org.
Am I human or am I cyborg.
[/CHORUS]

I used to smoke a lot of cigars,
and cigarettes and tobacco.
Until they had to take my legs of
and replace them with some gizmo.
Now I have to use prostheses
with electronic sensoring.

Learn to walk, yet again
with these things.

[CHORUS]
Am I human or am I cyborg.
The battery’s fading, my hands are cold.
Checking on the net, wikipedia.org.
Am I human or am I cyborg.
[/CHORUS]

I lost my thumb when I was five,
now it is truly a thumb drive.
The loudspeaker in my arm is beeping,
let me know that my heart’s still beating.

[CHORUS]
Am I human or am I cyborg.
The battery’s fading, my hands are cold.
Checking on the net, wikipedia.org.

You gotta let me know.

Am I human or am I cyborg.
The battery’s fading, my hands are cold.
Checking on the net, wikipedia.org.
Am I human.
Or am I cyborg.

Am I human or am I cyborg.
Am I human or am I cyborg.
[/CHORUS]
